I ran the color run in Philadelphia, PA with 4 of my lovely friends, Anna, Jaci, Alex and Megan. We stayed the night before and woke up to get our run on.

At the end of the race, they have a party! There was music, and dancing, and about every 10-15 minutes people were throwing their packets of color in the air and you were covered in every color possible. Only color I really wanted and didn't get was green :(

I always hated running, then I started training for this, and by training I mean interval running when I wanted to, and I learned I'm actually a better runner than I once thought. I was so proud of myself for doing this, and the next thing on my list is to be able to run it without stopping, because I definitely took some breathers during this race.
Go forth and run! :)
Ps: One thing I forgot to mention, IF you plan to run this, here are some recommendations:
- Wear eye protection! The paint is only corn starch, but it does make it very hard to see!
- Don't wear anything you wouldn't mind getting marked up.
- After the race is over, you might think that you'll permanently be colorful, you won't!! Trust me, when I got home I took a shower and all but a tiny bit came off. You'll be fine!!
- If you have blonde hair, wear it dirty to the race, that way the corn starch comes out easier!
- If you plan to venture the city you're in, don't be surprised by the looks and comments you get throughout the day. This one lady told us she thought we were just dirty :/
